FAQs about DSC
As DSC is a subsidised clinic, patients are not allowed to choose a doctor. Should you wish to be seen by a specific doctor, you may want to make an appointment as a non-subsidised patient at the National Skin Centre. You could, however, choose to be seen by a doctor of a specific gender.
Please approach our counter staff during registration and highlight to them that you require financial assistance. They will direct you to our counsellor for financial assessment and assistance.
Due COVID-19, We strongly encouraged you to book an appointment to shorten your waiting time in the clinic. There will be a fee of $5 charged in addition to a longer waiting time. For walk-in patients, our clinic will attend to the patient who requires any urgent medical attention and patients who come in only for screening purpose (non-urgent) will be rescheduled accordingly to the next available time slot (based on avaiability).
You can use our online appointment booking formto book an appointment with us. You can also call our appointment line at 6293 9648 between 8.00am to 12.00pm and 1.00pm to 5.00pm (Mondays to Fridays, excluding public holidays), or email us at apptdsc@nsc.com.sg. You are encouraged to book an appointment at least 3 working days in advance and to inform us should you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Fees vary according to the tests carried out. Please refer to Clinic Charges for our charges. (Consultation and Test charges are subject to change without prior notice)
Female patients can choose to attend the Public Clinic or the Women's Clinic. At the Public Clinic, the waiting area is shared by both males and females while at the Women's Clinic, there is a separate waiting area for females. (This Service had been suspended due to COVID-19) No male patients or visitors are allowed at the Women's Clinic.
Patients are strongly encouraged to arrive 15 mins before appointment time. If you are late for your appointment, you will only be seen after patients who arrive on time for their appointments.
Patients with appointment will be seen as priority. Upon arriving at the DSC Clinic at the scheduled appointment time, patient will take a registration queue number and wait for registration. After registration, patient will be given a clinic queue number. Please understand that you may not be seen at the exact time of appointment as it depends on the number of patients before you and the complexity of each case.
Patients with morning appointments but attend in the afternoons, will be considered as walk-in cases.
