NSC embraces the value of social responsibility for the community, and as part of our 30th Anniversary celebrations this year, we have partnered with AMKFSC to support their Community Services which provides psychosocial and emotional support for children, youths, families and seniors at multiple touchpoints across Singapore.
It was a weekend of fun on 22 September 2018 as NSC hit the parks with a Charity Walk-Together. The event was graced by Speaker of Parliament, Mr Tan Chuan-Jin, who walked the 2km trail alongside the management and beneficiaries of AMKFSC, NSC staff, members of NHG family and their families. Post-walk, all participants also enjoyed the carnival booths featuring games and delicious finger food together with their families.
NSC’s support for AMKFSC commenced earlier this year where staff embarked on a house cleaning project for elderly residents living in the Sin Ming Industrial Estate and in April, organised a Health Fair at the Yio Chu Kang Community Club in collaboration with National Healthcare Group Polyclinics for residents living in the vicinity and the elderly of COMNET senior services. Besides talks on taking care of their general and skin health, NSC doctors also provided skin screening services as an outreach for preventive care and education on basic skin health.
It has been a great privilege for NSC to work with Ang Mo Kio FSC as it provides opportunities for our staff to do something more than their usual daily business. We hope our support has helped to empower individuals and families of AMKFSC to make positive changes in their lives.
