​​​NHG Outstanding Citizenship Award – Dr Tey Hong Liang

Dr Tey Hong Liang started the first Itch Clinic outside Europe in 2011. He also began a clinical service for patients with disorders of deficient sweating in 2014, which is the first of such specialised service worldwide. The clinic is equipped with sweat-mapping diagnostic facility and non-invasive skin imaging technology. The NHG Awards are given to celebrate our fellow colleagues and teams whose works have collectively raised the standards of healthcare to the lives of our patients and the community that we serve.

NHG Education Leaders Award

The NHG Education Leaders Award is awarded to NHG staff with leadership roles amongst multiple avenues related to education, who demonstrate emotional competence, building trust and leading people from different professions and backgrounds for educational excellence. Associate Professor Chua Sze Hon, Deputy Director and Education Director in NSC, was given the award for his most unwavering commitment in overseeing the overall development of educational activities of the Centre. He is actively involved in running the Dermatology Residency Programme as Programme Director and acts as the lead for the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKC Medicine) Undergraduate Programme.

NHG HMDP Award – Ahmad Shufi

Mr Ahmad Shufi Bin Jasmani was awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) Skills Attachment. The objective of HMDP is to develop healthcare professionals to take on more advanced and specialised jobs to meet the strategic manpower needs of NHG. He will be attached to the Burrell Street Sexual Health Clinic (United Kingdom), to further his operational knowledge of nurse-led Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) clinics.
